The company I work for is an industrial consultant. We inspect pipeline welds using non-destructive methods to insure their integrity. It is a VERY physically demanding job. Recently, I have been working 7 days a week, which isn't too much fun but isn't the real problem I have. My boss has recently decided to send my brother (who I work with) and myself to do another job at night after our first job is over. Consequently, in the course of 3 days we got 4 hours of sleep. We don't work every night, but we do this a lot during the week. Not having enough sleep in this profession can be very dangerous as we work with radioactive material. If we're too tired, we might start cutting corners resulting in serious injury or possibly death. My boss doesn't seem to think this is a problem as he receives a share of the profits at the end of the year so he is monetarily motivated to make others do the work. I live in Kansas and I don't think there's a labor law against this. What should I do?

Basically, due to me sliding my desk so much across my room (as opposed to simply picking it up), the nail holes that connect the base with the leg have gotten way too big to tightly secure the nails, so every time I pick up my desk, the leg simply detaches and falls down. Oil pressure issue 355 stroker?

I have a 383ci stroker in a 89 Caprice 9C1 & I use Joe Gibbs break in oil. When the engine is cold my pressure is around 75psi @ 1000RPM. Once warmed up it will drop to around 20psi at idle. As long as you have at least 10psi per 100RPM you should be fine. The more oil pressure you have the more strain you have on your pump shaft & you'll also produce less horsepower because of the strain on your pump. I'd just run 15w40 grade oil. That's diesel grade oil & it had high zinc & phosphorous additives witch is what you need for a new or rebuild engine.

Did anyone else normally lose weight during pregnancy?

I'm curious about whether it is normal to lose weight during pregnancy. I lost 45 pounds while pregnant with my 2 yr old, but thought that it was due to a bad gall bladder. I am now 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd (do not have a gall bladder anymore) and do not eat any differently or healthier than I ever have and so far I've lost a total of 12 pounds. (I haven't had bad morning sickness or anything, sick to my stomach and thrown up a few times but nothing severe). It seems weird and everyone says that I'm weird or disgusting or things like that to tease. I am not a small person so it suits me fine that I lose during pregnancy rather than gain, and my doctor hasn't said much about it other than to make sure that I am healthy and not dieting or anything but other than that doesn't act like it's a big deal. Has anyone else had this "problem" and did you find any reasons that may have caused it? I go back tomorrow to the doc and am quite curious to see if I've lost anymore, and as long as the baby is growing and healthy it will be just fine with me =)

95 Jeep gr Cherokee, Loredo 4X4. 4.0. A/T. Start the car, It may only take off in 3rd when I put it in drive. It will downshift into 2nd, and it also will not go into overdrive. Shut it off, re-start it 2-6 times it will finally take off in 1st and run/shift just fine after that including overdrive. Never know when. Help... I don't have $1300.00 for transmission

to determine if the transmission is shot would depend how long you have been driving the vehicle with this noise going on. it sounds to me like a mix of things i thing one of your bearings inside the actual gearbox went and it left play in the gears. which eventuall let the synchronizer get chewed up. with a synchronizer chewed up this would lead to gear teeth being worn down, chipped, snapped off etc. which would explain why your first gear is so slow to accelerate. it doesnt have the grip it used to have. i would take it to aamco and let them look at it if there is one near your house. explain the issue. but more than likely if you have been driving it awhile like this youll need a transmission anyways. mind you that this is only my opinion i would have to look it over and listen to it to be certain. but im almost positive your gearbox is pretty well shot

My allergic dog and food woes?

My pitbull Jayde has really bad skin allergies. She chews on her paws and gets really bad hives all over. We starting feeding her Innova Evo brand dog food and all of her symptoms completely went away. We tried a raw diet and it actually made her allergies worse so we went back to Innova. It takes a few weeks for their stomach to ajdust to the food because it's higher in protein. We pay about $60.00 for a 32lb bag and feed both if our dogs twice a day. I am in college and struggle with that too. What seems to help me is to break the work into increments. like 10 math problems, or 3 written pages, or read one of 4 chapters. Then when that is done reward yourself. But you have to be disciplined. Choose something you enjoy. Lets say you did 10 math problems, then you get your reward. Watch 30 minutes of your soap, or kiss your boy/girl friend for 5 minutes. but when your reward is up, go back to your work. Set another deadline with a reward. Go for a walk around the block. That is a good one b/c it helps get your blood moving again and energizes you. Anyway, break it up with rewards. Just make sure it is not something that would keep you from finishing your work. (like a beer)

Diabetic 80lb dog.?

My husky/shepard mix was dx with diabeties last week. I have been all over the net searching for some answers. Here is the basic gist. I'v struggled to get this dog to an ideal weight her whole life (8 1/2 years). The last couple weeks I have noticed that she just can not go very far on her walks. She would get about 3 or 4 houses and she would lie down. At first I thought her toe nails were too long and I cut them. Then I tought she was artheric(not uncommon in a shepard) about a week or two later she seemed to be losing her vision, and the back legs were getting worse. I also noticed that she was not shedding like she should (she thorws her coat twice a year). I thought that this was a sign of old age, but I was super concerned about her legs. I took her to the vet and was told the news. I was sent home with vetsulin (18u) twice a day and a diet high in fiber the vet reccommended wd. The good news is she can walk with no trouble. I am out of room I will post my questions next.

I dreamt I was chasing this midget, who was dressed like a fireman, down a dark alley way. I think he had my wallet or something like that. When I caught up to him, he turned around, pulled off my arm & started beating me with it. The whole time I was laughing hysterically. What does this mean???

Williams said that if the caller wanted to support national healthcare or socialized medicine, the caller was perfectly free to "send his (own) money in" to support the cause. I'm wondering if conservatives would apply the same standard to the war in Iraq, meaning only those who support the war in Iraq should fund it. I'm not spouting a position on the war per se, I'm only pointing out the apparent hypocracy of conservatives whose stock anwer on any government program they disagree with is to tell the supporter of it to pay for it him/herself. There's this guy in my English cl his a Senior and is really into wrestling. From what i heard he is only staying in that cl for only 1st semester since he failed that cl last year when he was a Junior and his just making it up for it. From the beginning we never really talk to one another since he sits a couple seats away from me. But he would always look at me and occasionally smiles at me from time to time. His been loud, cusses at times, and every time the cl gets noisy he would always encourage them to quiet down like "come on you guys the teacher is telling us something important." But when i'm with him he doesn't cuss at all and he isn't loud as i thought he would be. Also if i'm wearing a black colored sweatshirt one day the next day he wears the same color. It seems that he magically follows what i wear so that we would match somehow. If i pack up my stuff slowly before leaving the cl he does the same thing too.. We would walk out the door at the same time and when he was climbing up the stairs he peered down to look at me and once again our eyes connected. Its been a repetition lately and it has been going on for about 3months now. I feel like something is there but i don't really want to do anything about it since i'm not really sure what's going on and it might just be a coincidence. Then last Monday (12/13) i hear him say to his friend "did you do the letter?" and his friend replies "yeah i did. but you need to add more stuff to it like what she is and what she does." After a few days past. Yesterday (Wed 12/15) when we finished our Final, my English teacher let us talk to our friends and she set up some snacks/drinks from the back table at the back room. So i decided to leave my desk and sat next to my friend who sits in front of the back table. Him and his friend kept ping by my friend's desk and he kept looking at me. He doesn't look too happy when he was looking at me. I guess it was because this was his last day being in that class with me since he wouldn't be there next semester.. 5minutes before the bell was about to ring.. I heard his friend say to him "you HAVE to give her the letter". I don't know who this "she" or "her" is but i don't know if it could possibly be me and if they are actually talking about me. i think its too late now since today (thurs 12/16) was our last day for Finals and i'm off for Winter Break we won't be able to see each other by January when we come back to school. Do you think he has a crush on me and that letter they speak of was it "supposedly" for me?

Ok, this sort of surprised me. There's this girl I know, and at one time a few guys that I know were pestering me to ask her out (she's gorgeous, and they all had girlfriends so they couldn't do it). I'm looking for the name of a pen i used to have when i was a server at a resurant. I think it was by pentel.

It was a retractable pen which was triangular in shape. It had a chrome colored tip with a black rubber grip area, then a diagonal chrome strip and a shiney shaft. The pocket clip and the retraction on on the end were both chrome colored too. This was seriously one of the nicest pens I've ever owned and I've had some damn expensive pens. It might have been a gell or rollerball but I remember it being a ball-point. Also i think it had the 207 Ink cartriges for check-fraud prevention. Hey, i had this strong relationship with my boyfriend for 5 long years. he told his family, i used to visit them, stay with them for days, they were cool with it..they agreed for me..called my mom to fix the relation to get me engaged with him. His family is very traditional, but pretend that they are very modern people,and since I am an atheist and did not approve for Hindu rituals, i though that wont be a problem since they knew this fact about me. But then gradually, my bf stopped talking to me and kept aloof. I doubted and asked him then he said that his family thinks that this is not going to work.He was even scared of calling me and telling me that He could not stand for our relation when his mother was saying awful things about me. And when my mother called her up to ask that what has happened, his mother rudely said that since d girl( Me) don't have a father and is from different culture and has such non traditional beliefs, we can not marry our boy to her. Although my bf kept supporting his family and kept saying that his family cares for me that's why dey broke d relation that too after establishing such a strong bond with me.
