I dont understand im a russian and im taking more interest in finnish and german culture because of WW2?

i dont know but from learning alot and knowing alot of history about WW2, i know alot of battles and i know many things about WW2, but as a russian my country fought both finland and germany, and it seems im very interested in meeting german and finnish people, ive meet a few germans and finnish people and they are very nice and we try never bring up the WW2 topic and so on but i dont know doesnt it seem a bit odd?, some reason just because i know alot about WW2 and watching alot of WW2 Films i want to get to know german and finnish culture, learn the language and maybe even visit the country? it just seems im getting more interested in meeting finnish and german people :S , tell me is it natural to forget revenge and leave it behind and get to know others culture and such? because of wat happened in WW2 and since im a WW2 Maniac i want to learn about german and finnish people? do alot of germans and finnish people hate russians? ive meet a few finnish who hate russians :S..
