How long can the staples stay in?

I would definitely not attempt to remove the staples on your own. They may not be ready and you could get a very bad infection. Only your doctor will know if they are ready to come out by taking a look at them. I would just call your doctor's office and explain what is happening. They will tell you exactly what needs to be done. Try not to worry in the meantime. Good luck.
