Have there been studies on people who have hsv2 and show increased immune system sensitivity as a result?

I was curious, because I havent been able to find anything conclusive saying that simplex 2 reduces your immunity to illnesses - like colds and the flu. Is it possible that it affects your immune system - making it more likely that you'll catch colds more often than before you caught it?
