Microphone question/jack question?

Ok so i dont have a microphone jack, and i was wondering if there was any sort of program or enhancement to download, or to do anything at all the make the headphone/speaker jack function as a mic jack, And yes i already know about the usb mics, just short on money and was wondering if there was a work around?
