Which pain reliever can my mother carry along to the office to get relief from nagging back pain ?

My mom is a working professional. She juggles between the home and the office quite well. But at times end up having back ache towards the end of the day. She has tried all sorts of balms and creams…Please suggest something that she could carry time along and get relief from the pain.
